Ignorance, Arrogance and Shame

mazel.jpgIn an act of adolescent chutzpah that no decent mother would tolerate in her son, the Israeli Ambassador to Sweden, Zvi Mazel, dishonored his country and brought shame to his cause Friday when he vandalized a Stockholm museum.

What a schmuck. What a jackass. What a prick.

The cycle of violence will not be broken in Israel and Palestine until this kind of deluded, sanctimonious bullshit is punished with a prison term. The son-of-a-bitch is the ambassador and if he's willing to act in violence against the people of the country to which he's been posted, then it must be that his is an outlaw nation, a culture of violence that deserves to be isolated from the community of nations.

The government of Israel owes the people of the world an apology for Mazel's behavior. Mazel should be arrested and tried for his misconduct, diplomatic immunity be damned.

Aha! Howard Dean's "truth-gaffing" is catching on! There's a stain [sic] of the human species (and it's not just limited to Israelites) who look at the world through a 2-inch pipe. The stain is spreading. One always hopes that truth-telling will resolve the stain, disintegrate the pipe. Maybe, just like with using Clorax, it takes a critical mass of it.

One often hears the phrase of congratulations, "Mazel Tov!" Mazel meaning fortune, Tov meaning good.

In this case, I would holler, "Mazel Bad!"

How lame that an official ambassadorial envoy should engage in schoolboy prankster activity. How sad that this official representative of a country chooses to act emotionally and not rationally. Bigger flaps of greater consequence have begun over smaller acts.

Caught a post on this over at Uppity Negro and could not believe the amount of crap in the comments to the effect of "It doesn't matter because that wasn't art, it was garbage, and how would you feel if someone made something like that about the 9/11 hijackers blah blah blah..." Such a shame that the temper-tantrauming schmuck has a chorus of internet lackeys foaming at the mouth.
