Tonight at the New York Public Library.... the Elements of Style Song Cycle. I wonder if we'll be able to get in? I wonder what the scalpers will be getting for a ticket? There must be thousands of people in the area who will NEED to attend this event. We're going early and I'm gonna blog it.
I'll "use the active voice."
I'll "be obscure clearly."
Jeepers, they sure don't have this kind of thing out in the country.
The other day in Lexington, KY, having won $300 at the track, after losing $100 the previous day, I went to the Joseph-Beth Bookstore. A staff had recommended, via the staffer recommnendations shelf, the book Sin and Syntax (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0767903099/104-0749811-4512714?v=glance&n=283155&v=glance). Sold. "Sin" reminded me of Sin Boldly (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0465091598/104-0749811-4512714?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance), which I had, oddly enough, perused at a bookstore in Washington, DC. I havent' read 'em yet, but I was on a win streak, so they're bound to be good.
